The Fund for Free Expression and Viewpoint Diversity at UVA exists to support student organizations at the University of Virginia that promote viewpoint diversity, free speech, free inquiry, critical thinking, and intellectual humility. The Fund is strictly nonpartisan and does not endorse any political party or candidate.

Student organizations may apply for financial assistance for programs and activities that advance these values in a creative and positive way. Each application is reviewed based on its connection to and ability to further the Fund's goals. Organizations may submit multiple requests, but approval of one does not guarantee approval of others. The Fund also reserves the right to decline funding for activities that duplicate the efforts of already-supported organizations. All funding decisions rest solely in the Fund's discretion.

Requests for funding will not be considered for alcohol, partisan political activities, or promotional items and materials that do not align with the Fund's mission. All recipients are required to submit a follow-up report describing how the funds were spent and evaluating the outcomes of the supported activities.
